- Jinju City is a central city in the western Gyeongnam region, bordered by Changwon-si and Haman-gun to the east, Hadong-gun westward, Sacheon-si and Goseong-gun southward, Sancheong-gun and Uiryeong-gun to the northward.
- The total area of Jinju City is 712.86㎢, consisting of 1 eup, 15 myeons, and 14 dongs. The extension distance between east and west is 43.7 km, and the extension distance between north and south is 33.2 km. This accounts for 6.8% of the total area of Gyeongnam Province.
- The climate is mild and there are very few meteorological disasters such as snow, rain and wind. The annual average temperature is about 13.5℃ and the annual average precipitation is about 1,493㎜.
