Jujube

Snaked Beard (Makmundong)

As a perennial grass, its root is long and thick and its stem is as long as 0.35 m. In summer it blossoms light purple flowers. The root of Makmundong is used for the medicine for stamina, lung and phlegm. It is mainly cultivated in Danjang-myeon, Sangnam-myeon and Sannae-myeon. Used as medicinal herb, it is good for weak people, hemoptysis, mouth dryness and thirst. In addition, it is very effective to clean the lung and blood in veins.
