Red Pepper (Pepper Powder)

Garlic
Cultivated in soils with high organic and phosphate ingredient, Changnyeong Garlic has relatively high sulfur contents. The garlic as health reinforcing food, is the functional food with alicine and azoen which is effective for digestive disorder, insomnia, hypertension, cancer, cholesterol and stamina reinforcement. Recently, it is processed into the highly concentrated garlic beverage, which removes the bad smell of garlic and keep the nutritious ingredients intact. Apple
Comprised of sugar and organic acid as main ingredients, the apple removes the fatigue material from human body. Seongsan-myeon region which is the basis is proper for the apple culture because the temperature difference between day and night in this region, which means that the apple produced here has high sugar contents. The cultivating area is 54 ha and the production volume reaches 1,000 tons. It is supplied to large cities and gains good refutation.
Mushroom
- Various mushrooms such as pine mushroom, Agaric mushroom and Paengi mushroom are produced.
- The pine mushroom produced around the Mt. Hawangsan has a lot of inorganic ingredients and vitamins that it has peculiar flavor and taste. It is very popular that it is exported to Japan. It grows naturally in sandy soil around Mt. Hawangsan and the valley of Okcheon during April to June and September to October. According to climate, around 1,500 kg of wild pine mushroom is collected. Also Paengi mushroom is produced in stable basis because advanced facilities have been installed to process it.
Water Melon
As a main producing place, Changnyeong is the place where a lot of water melon is cultivated in open space or greenhouse in all four seasons. Especially, the water melon produced in fertile soils around seven Eup districts near Nakdonggang River has high sugar contents.
Onion
- Containing vitamins and inorganic ingredients, onion is good to prevent and cure the flu, insomnia, hypertension. Iran is the origin place of onion. In Korea, the onion was initially cultivated in Daeji-myeon, Changnyeong and was spread around the nation. It is fresh and high quality and is produced in large quantity (almost 13% of total national production). It has a lot of phophast, calcium, salt and vitamin C.As the representative agricultural product, it is cultivated at 1,341 ha and the production volume reaches 69,000 tons.Changnyeong Onion Testing Field has been installed in Daeji-myeon, the initial onion cultivated place in Korea and the developed breeding and technology on onion cooking are distributed around the nation.
- The price difference between harvesting period or non-harvesting period is big that onion delivery is performed around the year due to the sufficient storage facilities.
Cucumber
- Cultivated at Ibang-myeon and Namjieup, it is cultivated at 300 ha field and its production reaches 14,000 tons annually. With sufficient potassium and vitamin C in it, it is good for the beauty of woman, removal of hangover and diuresis.
- The cucumber produced in Namji, Changnyeong is well known to people around the country and it is cultivated two times a year and is the main agricultural product for farmers of this region.
Sesame
- Cultivated in 500 ha, the production of sesame reaches 300 tons which is mainly produced on Ibang-myeon region. The sesame produced here contained about 45-50% of fat that it has good taste and so is used for sauces.
- Cultivated mainly in small quantity by agricultural farms, the distribution of sesame is performed directly with consumers. Because it contains carbohydrate and protein, it is good for headache, and nervous breakdown.
Paprika
The volume produced here reaches 13% of total national production. It has a lot of phosphate, calcium, salt and vitamin C.
Tomato
Daeji-myeon has the tomato growing complex. There a new nutriculture technique has been introduced recently and the tomato with no diseases and viruses is produced all year round. Containing calcuim and iron ingredients, it is good to prevent and cure hypertension, and respiratory diseases. About 2,000 ton of tomato is cultivated at 57 ha in Changnyeong. The price ranges from 1,500 won to 2,000won per kg. Recently the area of tomato culture is increasing.
Grotesque Craftworks
Designated as main exporting product, the grotesque craftwork is made of various roots and stems of trees which look queer or strange with decorating them with a lot of ornaments.
Art Porcelain
Escaped from ordinary porcelain, it puts emphasis on the unnecessity of supporting bowl.
Life Porcelain
Coated with natural glaze which is not harmful to human body, it is distinctive color and simple.
Peanut Tofu
Using peanut and general bean as raw material, the peanut tofu has its peculiar taste. It is a patented product combining ordinary tofu and peanut. (Patent No. 45203).
