Sweet persimmon

The persimmon has more than 14% of sugars such as grape sugar and fruit sugar that it tastes sweet. Also it enhances the resistance to disease and is good for circulatory disease and makes skin elastic because it has carotin which has the same effects as vitamin A. The astriction effects by tannin makes the diarrhea stop and its hemostasis effect is good for the patient of cerebral hemorrhage.

Mini Tomato

Because it accelerates the digestion and neutralizes the acidic food, it is good for dessert when a oily food is eaten. Full of various vitamins and minerals, it is also good for diet for fitness. Mini tomato produced in Goseong is recognized for its quality and high sugar contents.

Kiwi Fruit (Chamdarae)

Chilbo-gongye (Seven-treasures craftwork)

Chilbo can depict any picturesque view with its peculiar technique of attaching splendor-colored organic material that its beauty is known to match that of the seven treasures such as gold. silver, glass, crystal, coral, and pearl. Because it is beautiful and has good brilliance, it is called as Chilbo (seven-treasures).

Sheet of oilpaper (for floor)

Though it is known to start from the period of King Chungryeol, the correct origin is not know yet. At first time, the primitive method has been adopted to make it even though it is made by modern equipment currently. The pattern of sheet is made by painting sesame oil on the sheet. It is now broadly used in Ondol heating system in hotel.

Korean Traditional Paper (Hanji)

Hanji was invented by a monk residing in Daedong Temple, which had been located in Peak Kusabong, Bongsu-myeon, Uiryeong-gun, in Goryo Dynasty 1,500 years ago. He had submerged the bark of paper mulberry into water and found out that the bark has swollen and melted and become to paper. Thus he began to use the technique to make Hanji. The Hanji is made of good quality paper mulberry and made by advanced paper manufacturing technique that it lasts long and does not absorb the water.

Uiryeong Vinegar

This is the alkaline food with sufficient vitamins and organic nutritions. This product is directly made by female farmers with local agricultural products and traditional manufacturing technique that it tastes good.

Dried Silkworm

It has good effects on human body. It has natural active material which would not give any malfunction that it prevents sugar from decomposed temporary and thus prevent the sugar contents in body rising rapidly. It also has excellent effect to cure and prevent the diabetes because it delays the absorption of sugar.

Uiryeong Grain Syrup (Uiryeong Chocheong)

It is also used in making Korean cakes (Yakkwa, Ganjeong, and Yaksik) and making Korean foods. It makes food have traditional flavor and taste. Especially, it is known to have the taste of mother because it is made by rural women with no-sugar, no-preservative and no-chemicals manufacturing technique.

Bamboo Salt Pepper Paste. (Jukyeom Gochujang)

With mixing the Meju(fermented soybeans) which is made with conventional method and pure natural material such as bamboo salt, sticky rice, starch syrup and pepper powder, this pepper paste is made by traditional manufacturing technique without any preservatives added that it tastes good and good for health.

Uiryeong Traditional Meju

Made in environment with clean air and pure water, this product is famous because it is manufactured with pure locally produced soybean.

Hangua

The Uiryeong Jocheong Hangua is the traditional snack made by the traditional manufacturing technique which has been passed down through hands of village ladies from ancient time of Koryo Dynasty when it was food for Royal family. It is well eaten in holiday, festivity, and wedding days. Especially the Uiryeong Hangua is made with the chemicals-free agricultural crops such as sticky rice, sesame and bean produced in clean environment (with clean water, clean air and uncontaminated soil). Because it is coated with grain syrup of rice, it is not so sweet, It is well eaten by new generation because it has traditional taste and flavor as well as nutrition.
