Sweet Persimmon

Garlic

With peculiar natural environment of Tongyeong and special cultivation technique, it is the crop which is the good income source and have good refutation around overseas markets.

Citron

With sufficient vitamin C, it is used as material for tea and herbal medicine and even cosmetics. Produced only in southern coastal area, the Tongyeong Citron is famous for its peculiar taste.

Kiwi Fruit (Chamdarae)

With sufficient daylight and optimum cultivation environment, it has special taste and smell. With the tastes of strawberry, banana and melon mixed, it is the alkaline fruit and has a lot of vitamin C contents twenty times and five times as much as apple and orange.

Extraction from Black Goat

Raised on more than 150 inhabited and habited islands such as Hansan-myeon, Yokji-myeon and Saryang-myeon and with good nutritious feed such as a lot of peculiar vegetables and fruits, the black goats raised in Tongyeong Hally National Marine Park(Hallyeosudo) is the traditional health food famous around the country.

Tongyeong Najeonchilgi is very beautiful with its peculiar color and pattern as well as with high quality. It is also proud of its long history.

Tongyeong Gat (traditional Korean hat)

Tongyeong Gat was made in manufacturing facility in Tongjeyoung in ancient times and was known for its quality that a lot of scholars (Seonbi) had envied it. But from the 31th year of King Gojong (1894 A.D.), its production has decreased that now it is shown only on TV historical drama. The Gat is classified to cap and brim and it is designated as important intangible cultural asset. The Gat has been made of horsehair, silk thread, glue, ink, and charcoal.

Anchovies

With sufficient inorganic ingredient such as protein and calcium, it is exported to overseas market and Tongyeong produces 76% of total national production.

Seaweed (Dolmiyeok)

The brown seaweed has a lot of calcium, which is critical in formation of tooth and bone. Especially, the Dolmiyeok produced around Island Maemuldo is famous because it is known to make people's blood clean as well as it has good gloss.
